Wedding Planners Interview: Liz & Lex Events
on 08/09/2013  by Studio Andy Photography  has No Comment

Having a wedding planner is an invaluable investment which will give you piece of mind and most importantly a chance to enjoy not just the wedding but the entire process.

I had the pleasure of working with the lovely ladies at Liz & Lex Events and I wanted to share their interview so that you can get to know them too!

Interview with Liz & Lex Events:

Tell us a little bit about yourselves, how did you get into event planning?

We established Liz & Lex Events as a way to assist any and every Bride with her dream of the “perfect” wedding day! When we both were married, neither of us hired a wedding planner. It was really hard not having anyone to bring all of the planning to fruition and the day held more stress than necessary. We said that we wanted to work with the Modern-Day Bride with a career, family and life of her own who needed help organizing and realizing her big day!

What’s your number 1 advice for brides?

Hire a Planner (or Coordinator)! There is so much that goes into planning the major and minor details of a wedding. Location, flowers, escort cards, guest favors, cigar bars, lighting, linens, etc. After all of the planning and investment, why run the risk that the day won’t go as planned? Even if Brides don’t want to hire a Full Service Wedding Planner, at least find a professional who can help on the day of the big event!

How soon should brides begin their wedding planning?

Every couple is different. Some couples want a long engagement and others want to head straight to Mr.  & Mrs. Do what’s best for you but it doesn’t hurt to start the planning process as soon as you set a date. South Florida is a hot wedding commodity and the best venues and vendors book fast and sometimes years in advance. The longer the couple waits the less chance they have of getting what they truly want.

Is there a current trend you love? Dislike?

We love COLOR! Bright hues and jewel tones are making a comeback and we’re obsessed! Fuchsia linens, sapphire chair couture and colorful Bridal Gowns are trends that we hope will NEVER fade away! Mostly, we adore couples who forego the trendy option and forge their own wedding planning paths!

Your perfect wedding event, tell us about it!

Our perfect wedding events are the ones where the Bride is crying…tears of happiness! What an honor to be a part of something so special!

My New Baby Company
on 02/20/2013  by Studio Andy Photography  has No Comment

Hello my dear friends, I’m so happy to announce and introduce my new baby company: Photo Booth Boutique!

I just want to share with you a little background on how & why this new business concept came about. We all know that Event planners and brides put forth a lot of energy into creating a cohesive theme with beautiful colors and designs. And so after shooting so many weddings and noticing the Photo Booth, a big black box, in the corners of the reception or entrances of their venues, I thought it was time for something new and fresh! Why not have a photo booth that will take all those colors and elements into consideration?!

Photo Booth Boutique still brings all the fun and excitement any booth can bring, however, does it with style! We offer custom backgrounds and set designs that will match your wedding or event. Even without a custom background, our Photo Booth is a white, sleek & elegant booth that is sure to enhance, not take away from your beautiful weddings!

Please come by and visit our website for more information at: www.PhotoBoothBoutique.com
And be sure to check out our FB page for upcoming events & specials at www.facebook.com/photoboothboutiqueFL

Featured Wedding Event Planner | Raw Creativity
on 09/18/2012  by Studio Andy Photography  has No Comment

Wedding event planner Richelle Wright is owner of RAW Creativity. I’ve had the pleasure of working with Richelle on several occasions and every single time she delivers elegant wedding decor, not to mention an absolute fun experience for the couple! So I reached out to her and asked her a few questions that I thought you would want to know, as well as a few photos of our last wedding. If I left anything out that you’d like to know, please don’t hesitate to comment!

Miami Wedding Event Planner FAQs

How long have you been in the industry?
Over 15 years

Tell us about your company. Do you have a signature style?
Raw Creativity evolved out of a need to help others get more creativity for less cost.  I like classy, sophisticated and posh, so I incorporate all of that in any event, no matter what the culture may be.
What do your services include? Full event, design, logistics etc.
I am more of a full event coordinator and I work with great sub-vendors to bring the entire picture together.
What is the ideal time frame a bride should contact/hire a planner?
A year is great but realistically most people work within an 8 month range.  Either way, having a planner is ideal because you really don’t realize just how many intricate details there are until your time and day arrive…

Is there a range in investment a bride should expect to put aside for your services?
I am very feasible, I work by budget to provide the best possible worth while approach for any of my clients.  The larger the budget the lower the service fee.
What information should the bride have ready for the initial consultation?
Date and theme if known are the best.  That helps us to target when the wedding day will be and know exactly where to start with timeline and a theme helps us not to have to many concepts of thought.

Wedding Trends 2011-2012
on 12/27/2010  by Studio Andy Photography  has No Comment

Hello beautiful brides! It’s a new year and time to look at all those great trends that will make your wedding a spectacular one! After browsing through many, many sites on new wedding trends I’ve narrowed down and selected some of my favorites. Hope you enjoy!

ECO CHIC: Including country flowers, recycling small glass recipients (such as yogurt or mason jars) and tin tea cans, creating an eco-chic and rustic ambience for the wedding, is simultaneously original and elegant.

BACK TO THE PAST: The past is back and all vintage ideas as well. Incorporating modern elements that have a historical past is a growing trend, which is very appreciated by everyone that participates in weddings with these types of ideas. Presenting your guests with party favors from historical brands, building the wedding theme around this concept, recycling and wearing your mother or grandmother’s wedding dress, incorporating your parents’ or grandparents’ wedding pictures into the décor, creating an atmosphere of nostalgic romance is always nice and very, very trendy these days.

DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS: Details are hardly overlooked but now they are more important than ever! No tiny detail should go unseen and everything should be planned right down to the last feature. If you don’t have time for details, there’s NOTHING LIKE HIRING AN EVENT PLANNER to transform your wedding dreams into reality. The wedding cake table is a main focal point, the place cards should be original and personalized, the chairs should have a special touch, the wedding color palette should be very well thought out – basically, think about all the small details that will make a big difference.

PRETTY & SIMPLE: This has to be one of my favorite trends, keeping it simple! From the invitations to the floral arrangements, there is nothing more elegant and romantic than details that are simplistic in nature. For example, consider having only one or two flower varieties in your bouquet, picture a beautiful Calla Lily Bouquet with a single Rose or Peony stem. B-E-AUTIFUL!

OUTDOOR WEDDINGS: This is one of the biggest wedding trend of 2011. Outdoor weddings are a huge trend for 2011 because a party in the outdoors is different, fun and relaxing. If it’s possible to make yours an outdoor wedding, than do it! However, it’s very important that you have a plan B, just in case the rain decides to bless your big day! Also, consider having a daytime outdoor wedding. This will not only allow for a day long event and beautiful photography but will also go easy on your pockets since brunch menu items are less expensive.

“Vineyards are a trendy place to hold a wedding because it creates a setting of togetherness. It’s a place where people are breaking bread together, serving dinner on long wooden tables, having salads in the center and drinking fine wine. Sunsets on the vineyard really take people back to nature, and it’s a calmer way of doing things.” says Celebrity Event Planner Andrea Correale who planned Chelsea Clinton’s beautiful Wedding.

Another suggestion made by Andrea which I absolutely love is to seek out Realtors in your area and rent a home for the weekend. “They’ll find a fancy home on the beach or a mansion and host their weddings. But it’s not a daylong event; it becomes a weekend extravaganzas.”
