I had the pleasure and honor to photograph yet another gorgeous couple this past weekend. Karen and William looked stunning in their engagement session at the Spanish Monastery, so I knew their wedding photos were going to be just as amazing! The bridal preparations and “first look” took place at the Grand Hotel in Miami Beach, where we took advantage of the sunny skies and soft sand of yet another gorgeous day at the beach. Karen looked absolutely breathtaking as she walked over to meet her husband-to-be in his white Marine uniform. After exchanging hugs, kisses and soft whispers, they were more than ready for their beach wedding photographs!

I am so proud and happy to announce that Studio Andy Photography won the Bride’s Choice Awards 2011 from WeddingWire! This means the top 5 percent of Wedding Pros nationwide. Of course this would not have been possible without all the support I’ve received throughout my entire career from friends, family and all the amazing couples that have allowed me to be a part of their wedding day. Thank you!
And a very special thanks to all the brides who took the time to say such kind words in my reviews. Words are not enough to express my gratitude 🙂

Hello beautiful brides! It’s a new year and time to look at all those great trends that will make your wedding a spectacular one! After browsing through many, many sites on new wedding trends I’ve narrowed down and selected some of my favorites. Hope you enjoy!
ECO CHIC: Including country flowers, recycling small glass recipients (such as yogurt or mason jars) and tin tea cans, creating an eco-chic and rustic ambience for the wedding, is simultaneously original and elegant.
BACK TO THE PAST: The past is back and all vintage ideas as well. Incorporating modern elements that have a historical past is a growing trend, which is very appreciated by everyone that participates in weddings with these types of ideas. Presenting your guests with party favors from historical brands, building the wedding theme around this concept, recycling and wearing your mother or grandmother’s wedding dress, incorporating your parents’ or grandparents’ wedding pictures into the décor, creating an atmosphere of nostalgic romance is always nice and very, very trendy these days.
DETAILS, DETAILS, DETAILS: Details are hardly overlooked but now they are more important than ever! No tiny detail should go unseen and everything should be planned right down to the last feature. If you don’t have time for details, there’s NOTHING LIKE HIRING AN EVENT PLANNER to transform your wedding dreams into reality. The wedding cake table is a main focal point, the place cards should be original and personalized, the chairs should have a special touch, the wedding color palette should be very well thought out – basically, think about all the small details that will make a big difference.
PRETTY & SIMPLE: This has to be one of my favorite trends, keeping it simple! From the invitations to the floral arrangements, there is nothing more elegant and romantic than details that are simplistic in nature. For example, consider having only one or two flower varieties in your bouquet, picture a beautiful Calla Lily Bouquet with a single Rose or Peony stem. B-E-AUTIFUL!
OUTDOOR WEDDINGS: This is one of the biggest wedding trend of 2011. Outdoor weddings are a huge trend for 2011 because a party in the outdoors is different, fun and relaxing. If it’s possible to make yours an outdoor wedding, than do it! However, it’s very important that you have a plan B, just in case the rain decides to bless your big day! Also, consider having a daytime outdoor wedding. This will not only allow for a day long event and beautiful photography but will also go easy on your pockets since brunch menu items are less expensive.
“Vineyards are a trendy place to hold a wedding because it creates a setting of togetherness. It’s a place where people are breaking bread together, serving dinner on long wooden tables, having salads in the center and drinking fine wine. Sunsets on the vineyard really take people back to nature, and it’s a calmer way of doing things.” says Celebrity Event Planner Andrea Correale who planned Chelsea Clinton’s beautiful Wedding.
Another suggestion made by Andrea which I absolutely love is to seek out Realtors in your area and rent a home for the weekend. “They’ll find a fancy home on the beach or a mansion and host their weddings. But it’s not a daylong event; it becomes a weekend extravaganzas.”
W-O-W, what a great session this was! There are so many great photographs of Susy and Danny that it makes my head spin =) And even though this was the “Day After” photo-walk, there was as much love between them as the day they became one. I can’t think of a better way to have spent my Monday! I will be posting more of this session later but for now, here is a photo of Susy looking stunning at the Eden Roc!
Heather and Kerry had a beautiful heartfelt ceremony at the Coral Gables Congregational Church in front of the Biltmore Hotel…which of course we took advantage of and where we did their photo-walk =) Heather looked absolutely radiant in her beautiful dress, next to her love and partner Kerry. What a beautiful way to bring in the Holidays and the New Year, best wishes to you both!!
It was such a pleasure to be a part of Kelly and Matt’s wedding this past weekend. They had a warm, quaint ceremony on the sand with their closest friends and family, it was absolutely beautiful. The sky was blue, sand was soft and the bride was luminous. I wish you both ever-lasting love & happiness.
Ula and Kevin are truly an inspirational couple, the love between each other is clearly a blessing. The entire day was as perfect as any bride could ask…the bridal preparations, the ceremony and ohhh my, the reception, what a beauty! The event designer, Tangie of TWC did an amazing job! The decor’ was so elegantly detailed, I’m sure it felt like a dream come true for Ula!
Thank you Ula, Kevin, Tangie and the team for making my job so effortless and enjoyable. Best wishes to all!

I *heart* Key West weddings, they’re always so warm and easy-going. I had the pleasure of sharing the day with Brian & Carly as they celebrated their special day with their closest friends & family. After a beautiful ceremony on the sand by the beach, we headed over to a private sunset cruise… ahhh I must say I have the best job in the world!!
